The Introduction to Net Zero Careers programme by Adanna Women’s Support Group is designed to support women who are passionate about the environment and want to explore meaningful, future-focused career opportunities.
As the UK moves towards Net Zero, green jobs are growing rapidly across renewable energy, sustainability, waste reduction, and low-carbon living. These careers not only help protect the planet but also offer long-term employment opportunities and transferable skills.
What Are Net Zero Careers?
Net Zero careers focus on reducing carbon emissions and environmental impact through:

What You Will Learn
Participants will gain insight into:
- Green Skills & Career Pathways – understanding jobs in renewable energy, sustainability, food and waste management, and green construction
- Reduce, Re-use & Recycle – turning waste into opportunities through recycling, upcycling, and sustainable product design
- Renewable Energy & Low Carbon Jobs – exploring careers in solar, wind, and clean energy industries
- Low Carbon Living (LCL) – learning practical skills to reduce energy use, cut waste, and promote sustainable living in homes and communities
The programme also supports women to build confidence, understand training pathways, and prepare for employment or further study in green sectors.
