Services

We are a non-profit organisation that aims to empower and uplift women going through challenges in their lives. By providing information, advice and helping build their self-confidence, these women can overcome any issues they may be facing such as relationship issues, domestic violence, debt, unemployment, loneliness and isolation, challenges bringing up their children, etc. We host events and run various projects/services in order to achieve our mission.

We offer FREE accredited training in ESOL, Essential Digital Skills and employability.

If you are interested in career development in management or business start up we have experienced mentors who can support you on your journey. The experienced women work with you on a one to one basis to coach you through the career development process for 12 weeks.

We run a women’s educational information forum (Women’s Talk) which is in the form of an online workshop/seminar 10 times a year. This provides women with up to date information on topical issues. You can subscribe to our newsletter and blog for more information on the topics

We run two annual Women’s Symposium, one in March around International Women’s Day and one in October for Black History Month. These seminars discuss in depth issues pertaining to BAME women with expert speakers.

We have an employment coach who provides one to one and group support to help women find a job. The one-to-one service is for up to 6 weeks long. We provide support with preparing CVs, job searching, application forms and practising interview skills. We also run group sessions on these topics. To help women into employment we run free courses on employability training, child care and training to work in schools

We host monthly coffee mornings as part of our befriending service to help women who are socially isolated or feeling lonely. This provides a safe space for women to come and make new friends, have a chat and learn new skills as well as get updates from local services. For women who have English as a second language it is a place where they can practice their language skills.

We provide information, advice and guidance sessions in the areas of women’s empowerment, raising confidence, employment, Relationships, housing and debt. If you have difficulty with finding suitable accommodation or have debts such as utility debts and are unsure how to deal with it get in touch with us. If you need advice in or after leaving an abusive relationship contact our women’s adviser for some guidance.

this is a 12 week program of support for women who are facing social isolation, lack of family support or challenges with their relationships.
